A buyer who reads the pack, not the photo
Most buyers price a battery from a picture and a guess. We read the battery management system, plan the lift around the real weight, and buy the faulty ones too.
State of health, cycle count and per-cell voltages all live in the battery management system. Our own diagnostic software reads them directly, remotely where the system is online or on collection, so you never have to guess at figures you were never shown.
A 9.5 kWh Gen 2 pack is 110 kg and an All in One is over 170 kg. We turn up with the right number of people and the kit to move it safely out of a garage, loft or under-stairs cupboard. Free, insured, and never a courier.
Installers with stock they can no longer sell with a warranty, de-installs from upgrades, landlords with several properties, commercial sites. We buy in quantity, collect in one run where it makes sense, and can collect in stages around your own removals.

Describe it as it is
Tell us whether it's still installed and running, disconnected and waiting, or showing a fault. Scuffs, a dented lid or a weathered outdoor casing are worth mentioning but rarely change much. What moves the figure is the generation, the health the BMS reports and whether the packs match. Add a photo if you can.
The pack tells us itself
Every GivEnergy battery stores its own state of health, cycle count and per-cell voltages in the battery management system. We read them directly with our own diagnostic software, remotely if your system is online, or on the day we collect. So leave those fields blank if you have never seen the numbers. You are not marked down for not knowing; the offer is based on what the pack reports.
Stock, de-installs and whole portfolios
If you are an installer holding units you can no longer sell with a warranty, or you are removing several systems across a portfolio, send us the list. Mixed generations and sizes are fine. We quote the lot, collect in one run where the geography works, or stage collections around your own removal programme and pay per collection or on a schedule agreed up front.
We plan the lift before we arrive
These are heavy. From the datasheets, a 5.12 kWh Gen 3 is 48 kg, a 9.5 kWh Gen 3 is 85 kg, an 8.2 Gen 1 is 103 kg, a 9.5 Gen 2 is 110 kg, and an All in One is 174 to 181 kg. Tell us whether it's wall-mounted or on the floor, in a garage, loft or under the stairs, and whether there are steps, and we send the right people and kit.

GivEnergy Battery 2.6 & 5.2 kWh (Gen 1)
The first-generation LV packs at 35.5 kg and 63 kg, both 80% depth of discharge. Often the ones owners move on when they upgrade. Tell us how many you have, whether they are a matched set and which inverter they hang off.
GivEnergy Battery 8.2 kWh (Gen 1)
The 103 kg first-generation pack with 100% depth of discharge and unlimited-cycles wording on the datasheet. A serious lift on stairs, so tell us where it sits and how you get to it. Working or sat flat, we still quote.
GivEnergy Battery 9.5 kWh (Gen 2)
The 110 kg pack a great many LV systems were built around, 100% depth of discharge, unlimited cycles. Wanted by owners who need a second or third matching pack. Cycle count and cell balance drive the figure, and we read both ourselves.
GivEnergy Battery 9.5 & 5.12 kWh (Gen 3)
The newer slim form factor: 85 kg for the 9.5 and 48 kg for the 5.12, both 100% depth of discharge. A Gen 3 pack has to be master when mixed with older packs, so matched Gen 3 sets are the ones the next owner wants most.
AC Coupled inverter (LV)
The 3.0 and 5.0 kW units fitted alongside an existing PV inverter. Wanted by owners who already have panels and want storage without touching the array. Include any WiFi dongle and say whether it comes with packs or on its own.
Gen 1 & Gen 2 Hybrid (LV)
The 3.6 and 5.0 kW hybrids — Gen 1 with the external WiFi dongle, Gen 2 with internal WiFi and an antenna. Owners on these generations often need a like-for-like swap rather than a new system, which is why a tested unit holds its value. Send the dongle or antenna with it if you can.
Gen 3 Hybrid (LV)
The 3.6 and 5.0 kW Gen 3 with in-built WiFi and LAN, talking RS485 to LV packs. The LV inverter owners most often ask us for. The 8.0 kW Gen 3 is HV-only over CAN and does not take LV GivEnergy batteries, so tell us which one you have.
All in One (all versions)
The original 6 kW AIO, the AIO 3.6 and the AIO 2 + MPPT with its 13.5 kWh pack built in, plus any expansion batteries and the Gateway. At 174 to 181 kg this is a two-person, kit-required lift, so access decides how we plan it.
