Sell your DJ gear, hi-fi & turntables in Newcastle.

In short: Newcastle's nightlife is the stuff of legend, and its clubs have the awards to back it — Digital has been voted one of the best in the world more than once. We buy Technics, CDJs and hi-fi from Newcastle and Gateshead sellers; the A1 north is a fair run from South Yorkshire, but we do next-day collections up here, and the offer's the same as anywhere closer. From the Quayside and Ouseburn out to Jesmond, Heaton and the Gosforth side. Free collection, paid on exchange.

Typical local pickup

Technics SL-1210 MK2 (pair) — Jesmond, NE2 — £790

A MK2 pair from a Jesmond flat — a Digital and WHQ regular hanging up the headphones, genuine lids, well-used faders, one box. A fair run up the A1; we collected next-day, packed them properly, and paid by transfer at the door.

Typical local pickup

Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2 (pair) + DJM — Ouseburn, NE6 — £1,160

An NXS2 pair and a DJM from an Ouseburn DJ thinning out a rig — flight-cased, screens clean, no boxes, one RCA lead missing. We booked a next-day slot round his access to the studio; the bank transfer settled while we loaded.

Indicative of a typical collection in this area, not a specific transaction.
Typical local pickup

Technics SL-1200 MK5 — Gosforth, NE3 — £450

A single MK5 off a Gosforth seller trading up — serviced, boxed, barely marked. Quoted off the photos, confirmed a next-day collection that suited his shifts, paid in full once we'd checked it over.

Typical local pickup

Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS (pair) — Ouseburn, NE6 — £880

An earlier 2000NXS pair from an Ouseburn studio clearout — well-used jogs, screens fine, no boxes. A fair run up the A1; we booked a next-day slot round the studio's access and paid by transfer once we'd checked them over.

The Newcastle scene

Why there's good gear round here

Tyneside takes its nights out seriously, and the scene has the institutions to match. Digital on Times Square is a regular fixture in 'best club in the world' polls; World Headquarters has flown the flag for soul, funk and house for decades; and the Ouseburn valley — the city's creative quarter of converted industry — is thick with venues like the Cluny. Newcastle and Northumbria universities pour students through Jesmond and Heaton, and the Sage across the river keeps the more serious hi-fi crowd engaged. Between the club veterans and the graduate churn, there's a steady supply of decks and separates coming up across the Tyne.

Selling in Newcastle — FAQ

Questions from sellers in Newcastle

The things people round here actually ask before they sell.

You're about as far south of us as anywhere — is Tyneside really next-day?
It is. The A1 north is the longest haul we do, but it's a clean run and we make it often; you'll get a fixed window and we'll keep to it. The miles are ours to swallow, never yours.
Do you get out to Gateshead, the coast and the Metro towns?
Yes — Gateshead, Whitley Bay, Tynemouth and along the Metro line all sit in the same trip as the city centre. Send a postcode and we'll pin a time to it.
Can you collect from a converted unit down the Ouseburn?
Course — the Ouseburn's old industry-turned-studios are a familiar stop. Tell us which unit and how the access works and we'll time it round that and shift the gear ourselves.
After years on the Digital and WHQ circuit I've a full rig to clear.
Bring the lot — decks, mixer, spares, flight cases. We'll value the rig as one and take it in a single visit, no picking it apart piece by piece.
Jesmond and Heaton are wall-to-wall students — term-end collections?
Some of our commonest NE pickups. Give us the flat and the day you're leaving and we'll get there first, lift it down, and pay before you've packed the car.
Will you really come up for just one turntable?
We will. A Newcastle day runs on a handful of stops, so a single deck rides along on the same free run north — no minimum, and nothing taken off for the mileage.
The Sage crowd sells good hi-fi — do you take separates?
We do; Tyneside's a good source of Naim, Rega and Cyrus kit. List the separates with any decks and we'll price the whole lot in one go.
