Sell your DJ gear, hi-fi & turntables in Wakefield.

In short: Wakefield's only a short run from us — fifteen-odd minutes down the M1 — so it's one of our quickest patches outside Leeds itself. We buy Technics decks, Pioneer CDJs and mid-range hi-fi right across the district, from the Westgate end of the city out to Ossett, Horbury and the Outwood estates, WF1 through WF6. Same-day collection, paid the moment it's in the van.

Indicative of the gear and figures typical for this area.

Typical local pickup

Technics SL-1210 MK2 — Outwood, WF1 — £400

A single deck off the Outwood estates, target light dead, fader a bit notchy, lid intact. Owner was downsizing to one turntable for the house. Fifteen minutes from base; sorted before lunch and paid on the spot.

Indicative of a typical collection in this area, not a specific transaction.
Typical local pickup

Pioneer CDJ-2000 NXS2 (pair) — Sandal, WF2 — £1,150

A clean Sandal pair with a flight case, one screen lightly scuffed, no boxes. A semi-retired mobile DJ who'd done the Westgate circuit for years. Collected from the door, bank transfer cleared while we loaded up.

Indicative of a typical collection in this area, not a specific transaction.
Typical local pickup

Marantz CD63 KI Signature — Horbury, WF4 — £180

Original remote, original box, recently serviced — a tidy hi-fi separate picked up in Horbury alongside an amp the seller was also moving on. Combined offer settled on the doorstep; the WF4 villages are an easy run off the A642.

Indicative of a typical collection in this area, not a specific transaction.
Typical local pickup

Pioneer DDJ-1000 — Sandal, WF2 — £520

A boxed DDJ-1000 controller from a Sandal mobile DJ moving up to CDJs — original box and PSU, lightly used, one pad slightly worn. Fifteen minutes from base; quoted off photos and paid on the doorstep.

Indicative of a typical collection in this area, not a specific transaction.
Typical local pickup

iMac 24-inch M1 from Outwood, WF1

A 24-inch M1 in the blue finish off the Outwood estates, light desk wear and the original Magic Keyboard and Mouse, no box. Owner moving to a laptop setup. Fifteen minutes from base; quoted off photos and paid on the doorstep before lunch.

Indicative of a typical collection in this area, not a specific transaction.
Typical local pickup

iMac 27-inch 5K (Intel) from Horbury, WF4

A 2019 27-inch 5K Intel with a 2TB Fusion Drive and upgraded RAM, picked up in Horbury alongside a hi-fi separate the seller was also moving on. Stand and power cable present, one small scuff on the foot. Short run off the A642, settled on exchange.

Indicative of a typical collection in this area, not a specific transaction.
Typical local pickup

MacBook Pro 13-inch from Lupset, WF2

An M1 13-inch Pro off the Lupset estates, lid clean, but the Power panel read Service Recommended at over a thousand cycles. The owner thought it was a write-off. We priced in the replacement on the doorstep, factored the rest, and paid on exchange. Fifteen minutes from base.

Indicative of a typical collection in this area, not a specific transaction.
Typical local pickup

MacBook Air from Ossett, WF5

A 13-inch M2 Air brought through from Ossett with the battery health open ready on the screen. Low cycle count, condition Normal, one corner scuff. Reading it off the panel meant we confirmed the figure in a minute rather than guessing. Quoted off photos, settled at the door.

The Wakefield scene

Why there's good gear round here

Wakefield's nightlife runs out of the Westgate strip, and the city has a long northern-soul tradition that still feeds a steady deck-and-vinyl culture — Wah Wah Records on Northgate is the hub of it. Add the Pinderfields and college crowd for the hi-fi side and you get a useful mix: club and mobile DJs selling Technics and CDJs at one end, separates coming out of Sandal and Horbury at the other.

Selling in Wakefield — FAQ

Questions from sellers in Wakefield

The things people round here actually ask before they sell.

Do you collect from Outwood on a Sunday?
Yes — we treat Wakefield as a same-day patch every day of the week, weekends included. Outwood (WF1) is one of the closer parts of the district for us, so a Sunday single-deck pickup is no different to a weekday. Send your photos whenever and we'll book you a slot.
I'm in Ossett — what's the typical wait?
Not long. Ossett (WF5) is fifteen to twenty minutes from base depending on the A638, so most slots land within a few hours of you sending the model and photos. If we're already out Wakefield way we can sometimes swing by the same morning.
Can you take a deck from a flat above the shops on Westgate?
Yes, with a short loading window. Westgate (WF1) is loading-only in stretches, so tell us the address and we'll time it so we're not blocking the road. We carry the gear down ourselves — you don't lug a pair of decks down a flight of stairs.
Will the M1 J39 backup affect my collection time?
We allow for it. Junction 39 onto the A636 can snarl up at rush hour and on event days at the nearby retail parks. If it's bad on the day we'll message you a revised ETA before we set off rather than leave you watching the window.
Do you buy CDJs in WF2, or just turntables?
Both, and in any condition. Pioneer CDJ-2000 NXS2 and 3000-series are core stock for us, and WF2 — Sandal, Lupset, Kettlethorpe — is a frequent pickup area. Single unit or a full pair with a mixer and case, send what you've got and we'll quote the lot.
Can you pay cash for a Pinderfields pickup?
Bank transfer on exchange is standard and clears while we're with you, which suits most people. For a WF2 pickup round Pinderfields we can do cash up to £500 if you arrange it when you book; anything higher we'll transfer so there's a clean record both ways.
I'm out in Horbury or Crigglestone — is that still a same-day run?
It is. The WF4 villages — Horbury, Crigglestone, Walton — sit just off the A642, so they're a straightforward same-day run for us, hi-fi or decks. Flag the model when you message and we'll bring the right packing for the trip.
